Over the holiday weekend, San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg and other officials created a memorial downtown to honor the lives of those lost to the Covid-19 pandemic. The memorial, located at the corner of Market and South Alamo streets, has been aptly named “Deep in Our Hearts”.
Made up of more than 3,400 red hearts displayed on a chain link fence, the memorial is meant to give residents of San Antonio a way to honor their lost loved ones. To learn more about the meaningful tribute, visit this KSAT news article.
